Whether it's the living room or the bedroom, we all need to install lighting fixtures. Luminaires not only play a role in lighting in a living room, but the selection and installation of luminaires also directly affect the aesthetics of the room. Among various lighting fixtures, ceiling lights are widely used. This is a type of light that is directly installed on the ceiling, with a simple design and does not occupy too much space. How to install the ceiling light? Let's take this question and learn how to install the ceiling light together!

1. Choose a good location

Before installation, we need to determine its installation position. Generally speaking, the lighting fixtures are installed in the center of the living room, so that the light in the entire room can be evenly distributed and the light in each position will be relatively even. But for the bedroom, for the sake of our sleep quality, it is recommended that ceiling lights should not be installed directly above the bed as much as possible, so that we will not be disturbed by glaring light during rest and can have better sleep quality.

2. Remove the ceiling light cover

Secondly, we need to prepare the lighting fixtures that need to be installed, and then remove their face shields for installation. However, when removing them, we must be careful not to apply too much force to avoid damaging the ceiling light. Alternatively, when we remove the face mask, we can also remove the light tube at the same time, which can prevent the phenomenon of breaking the light tube during installation.

3. Install the base

Afterwards, we need to install the base in the reserved position, mark it with a pencil, remove the base, drill holes in the marked position with an electric drill, and then install expansion bolts to fix the base in the holes. It should be noted that the diameter and burial depth of the borehole should match the bolt specifications, and then the base should be placed back in the predetermined position and fixed.

4. Connect the wires

After completing the previous step, we need to connect the power cord and the wiring socket of the lighting fixture together. In this step, we need to pay attention to the two wire ends connected to the power cord of the ceiling light. The electrical contact should be good, and they should be wrapped separately with black tape and kept at a certain distance. If possible, try not to place the two wire ends under the same metal sheet to avoid short circuit and danger.

5. Install face mask

After its wires are connected, we need to conduct corresponding power on tests on it. If everything is normal according to the indicators, we can turn off the power and finally install the mask of the ceiling light.
